The Just Shall Live By Faith....

What is Faith? Most people can easily recite Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We all know what Faith is or at least heard about it. But the real question is not do you know what faith is, but rather do you have it. Do you live by it?
As Christians we must walk by faith and not by sight. But most of the time we walk by our emotions. We walk by what we see is going in the natural. But walking by faith requires that we see beyond our natural eye.  Having real and true faith requires we see a Summer’s day on a Winter’s night.  Real faith requires we see the promise while we are in the wilderness. Real faith decrees and declares the bill is paid even we are broke and don’t have a dime to our name.

Real faith requires we see with our spiritual eyes. Many times God will show us something in the spiritual realm before we see it manifest in the natural. So we must have faith to trust, hope, and believe that what He showed us in the spiritual will come to pass in the natural.
Even when what He showed us seems impossible to manifest, Faith says with God all things are possible and it will manifest. Because “God is not a man that he should lie.”

So how do we receive faith? The Word tells us in Romans 10:17, "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." In order to gain faith you must hear the Word of God. You must read, study, and mediate on the Word of God daily.  That is how you gain and increase your faith.
Walking by faith is not option. It is a requirement and mandate by God. In Hebrews 11: 6, we are taught “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” God tells us in Hebrews 10:38, “And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”  You can’t please God if you don’t have faith. He isn’t asking that we have Faith, He is telling us in order to please Him you MUST have Faith.

Today I encourage you to start living by faith and not sight. Don’t get caught up in the temporal things you see in the natural, but rather start viewing things from your spiritual eyes.  Today read the chapter of Hebrews 11 and learn about faith.
Today’s Scripture: “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17
