Encourage Someone Daily
We all need encouragement from time to time. We all have those days where we feel discouraged. Our faith is low and we let life’s demands and problems bring us down. Sometimes all it takes is one simple word from someone to change your whole perspective on a situation, problem, or your life. A few words of encouragement can make a shifting occur in your Holy Spirit. It can inspire you to make the proper changes in your life to walk into your destiny, your calling, your purpose!
All it takes is a few words of hope to brighter someone’s day…to make an impact or difference in someone’ life. Every day I make a habit to encourage someone. I understand the value of a few words of encouragement and how they impacted my life. So every day I strive to do the same. Hebrews 3:13 says, “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.”
What I love about that scripture is it says encourage one another daily. Not when you feel like it but daily. So that even includes the days you are going through. The days you feel like you need some encouragement. You don’t know how many days God has spent people across my path to encourage when I was going through! I had to tell them it was everything was going to be okay, when I didn’t know if I was going to be okay!
But that doesn’t matter. And the truth is little do you know as you are encouraging someone else, you are encouraging yourself. Amazing how God works! Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”
The days are drawing near. Jesus is coming back. Though no one knows the day or the hour, as Al Green sang “He’s Coming Back”….so we need to be encouraging, uplifting, and building up people daily so no one gets left behind.
Today I encourage you to go out your way and encourage someone else. Ask the Lord to send someone across your path to encourage. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the words to say and make a difference and impact in someone’s life. Remember the times someone encouraged you. And don’t just do it today. Do it daily!
Today’s Scripture: “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
