Emmanuel

“Come, come let us adore Him, kneel down before Him, worship and adore Him...Emmanuel.” Those are the lyrics to one of my favorite gospel songs by Norman Hutchins “Emmanuel”. It is song that talks about our beloved savior Jesus Christ. Matthew 1:23 says, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
Born to a virgin mother and conceived by the Holy Ghost a baby was born. But he wasn’t just any baby…he was “born to save his people from their sins.” Jesus or Emmanuel is with us. He lives inside of us. He walked this earth with us. Jesus is all around us. Praise the Lord for Emmanuel.

Today I am not doing a normal devotional. Today I want you to reflect on Emmanuel. We shouldn’t reflect on Jesus’ birth on Christmas but every day. Today I want you to sit and reflect on what Emmanuel means to you.
We are a week away from Christmas and many of us are still trying to buy our last minute Christmas gifts. But I want to tell you Today…Emmanuel is the greatest gift you could ever give a person. The great gift you could share.

Jesus…Emmanuel is with is us. Remember 1 John 4:4 says, “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Because Jesus lives inside of you have the victory…..you are an overcome because Jesus, who lives inside of you, has already overcome the World.

Today I encourage you take a moment out your day and reflect on what Emmanuel means to you. Just the thought of Emmanuel to me makes me want to break down and cry. But not tears of sorrow but of Joy. God placed this special Word in my heart and thankful he allowed me to share it……. “Come, come let us adore Him, kneel down before Him, worship and adore Him...Emmanuel.”
Today’s Scripture: “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
