Blessed To Be A Blessing

When God blesses us with an abundance of wealth, power, fame, and influence it is not so we can just “live the good life”.  When God pours down His favor upon us and blesses us He  expects us to use what He has given us to bless other people.  The Word tells us in Proverbs 11:25, “A generous person will be made rich, and whoever satisfies others will himself be satisfied.”
What I love about that verse is the opening when it says “a generous person will be made rich.”  The word generous is defined as liberal in giving or sharing; unselfish. When God blesses you plentifully with money, material possessions, power, fame and influence, or fame He does it so you can be generous and help other people.

When we purpose in our hearts to share our resources with others, God will always repay us for our good deeds. The Word tells us in Proverbs 19:17 ,  Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed.”
God made us a  promise in 2 Corinthians 8:9 that He is “able to make every blessing of yours overflow for you, so that in every situation you will always have all you need for any good work.” So when we share our blessings with others God will increase our own harvest and we never lack or want for anything.

Remember God didn’t bless you with a great vast of wealth because you were better, smarter, or worked harder than the next person. In the world’s economy that might be how you obtained wealth but that is not why in God’s economy.
In God’s economy, he blessed us with wealth so we could help our brothers and sisters in need.  In 1 John 3:17 it says “If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion--how can God's love be in that person?” How can you say you love God, but not love His people? Love is action word. And you can show God’s love by helping other people-by using your blessings to be a blessing.

Today I encourage you to a blessing to someone else.  Remember you are blessed to be a blessing. Nothing we own on this earth belongs to us. Never forget “The LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.” So Today go out and  bless someone else. I am not asking you, I am commissioning you!
Today’s Scripture: “And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.”  Hebrews 13:16
